Depression Therapy
Are You Ready To Take Control Of Your Depression?
Have you been coping with depressive symptoms that consistently weigh you down and hold you back?
Do you regularly feel overwhelmingly sad, down, lost, or lonely?
Have you regularly experienced any of the following negative symptoms:
Sadness, emptiness, or hopelessness?
Emotional outbursts, irritability, or lack of focus?
Disconnection, detachment, or withdrawal?
Perhaps you have a long history of coping with depression, or perhaps your symptoms have emerged recently or suddenly. Maybe your symptoms are rooted in specific grief, loss, or trauma, or they may have appeared with no external cause of explanation.
Severe Depression Can Completely Take Over Your Life
It’s common to experience physical symptoms, such as fatigue, changes in appetite, and sleep disturbances. Socially, you may be withdrawing from family, friends, or activities you enjoy, which can increase your feelings of isolation. And your very ability to regularly function at work, at home, or in social settings may be compromised by your symptoms.
It’s possible that you’ve tried traditional therapy before without seeing the results you wanted. If you’re functioning with depression and facing significant challenges in your personal and professional life, an IOP program might be a suitable option for you. At Rising Up IOP, our program offers flexible yet comprehensive depression treatment.

Most People Deal With Depression At Some Point
Depression can stem from a combination of factors, including grief, trauma, chronic stress, substance abuse, and even genetic or biological predispositions. Regardless of its source, depression can be extremely overwhelming and isolating. And without proper tools and support, you can get stuck in negative thought patterns or be unable to break free from emotional numbness.
Economic stress, job insecurity, and high personal and professional expectations can lead to overwhelm, burnout, and feelings of failure and inadequacy for many. Additionally, a continuing stigma around mental health issues can prevent individuals from seeking help, making it even harder to manage their depression.
Outside Support Is Sometimes Needed To Move Past Depression
Oftentimes, it can become a difficult cycle to move past depression without external support. And while family and friends are important resources as well, the most progress for severe depression is made through comprehensive, professional treatment.
If you’re lacking support with your issues, counseling can help pull you out of your depression and into community engagement with others who share your struggles. IOP therapy can give you the structure you need to make real and lasting progress with your symptoms while retaining control of your life, schedule, and obligations.
An IOP Program Can Help You Heal And Move Forward From Depression
In ongoing IOP sessions, we will explore a range of factors contributing to your mental health, including your negative thought patterns, emotional triggers, and coping strategies. An intensive outpatient program for depression can accelerate your healing while still affording you the flexibility to move at your own pace.
Our IOP program gives you the option to attend therapy sessions for 3.5 hours each day, five days per week. Our program is unique because we blend more traditional approaches with mindfulness-based practices such as meditation, breathwork, and yoga in treating depression.
A Comprehensive Yet Open Approach To Depression Therapy
Our program can help you get a handle on your symptoms by incorporating multiple treatment modalities, such as:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – A form of psychotherapy that reframes negative thoughts and beliefs, CBT can help alleviate your depression over time.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – A form of traditional therapy, DBT can help you navigate intense emotions caused by your depression.
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) – A therapeutic modality rooted in energy psychology, EFT can help you reduce your physical symptoms of depression.
Our approach to healing is holistic and integrative. CBT will allow us to identify and challenge those negative thought patterns and coping strategies, while DBT will focus on building toward emotional regulation and distress tolerance.
EFT helps address unresolved emotional blocks, and mindfulness practices foster awareness of internal states, encouraging relaxation and self-regulation in the process.
We know that depression can be overwhelming and exhausting, but with the right form of support, healing is possible. In our program, we’ll work together to explore the root causes of your depression while equipping you with the practical tools to manage your symptoms moving forward. Recovery is a journey, but with commitment, you can achieve lasting, positive change.
You May Still Have Some Concerns About Depression Counseling…
I don’t feel like I’ll have time to attend sessions consistently.
We understand that finding time for therapy can be challenging, so we offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs. We offer daytime and evening options available four days per week—along with our Sunday morning group. These timeframes provide a variety of options to accommodate your schedule.
Additionally, we offer flexible individual sessions with case management, as well as individual and family therapy throughout the week. Our goal is to ensure that you have the support you need at the times that work best for you.
I’m concerned that I’ll become reliant on depression therapy.
It’s natural to worry about becoming dependent on therapy, but our goal is to empower you to take control of your mental health. Through IOP, we’ll teach you skills to regulate your nervous system, manage your emotions, and handle challenges independently.
The aim is for you to feel confident in using these tools on your own, so you can return to living a fulfilling life. Our role is to guide you forward—but ultimately, you’ll be equipped to thrive on your own.
I’m worried that depression counseling will make things worse.
It’s completely understandable and valid to feel hesitant. Openly talking about your struggles can sometimes feel overwhelming, but our goal in IOP is to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore these feelings at your own pace.
We’re not here to force you to dive into anything you’re not ready for. Instead, we focus on teaching you practical tools to regulate your emotions and nervous system, helping you feel more in control and less overwhelmed as you move forward.
