Kathleen earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Simmons University and is committed to creating a supportive, structured group environment that fosters safety, insight, and lasting change. Experienced in structured group treatment settings, Kathleen leads skills-based and process-oriented groups focused on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and coping with mood and anxiety symptoms.
Kathleen’s approach is grounded in evidence-based practice and informed by a holistic, whole-person perspective that honors the connection between mind, body, and inner experience. She integrates psychoeducation, practical skill-building, and nervous-system-informed strategies, while remaining respectful of each client’s values, spiritual beliefs, and personal sources of strength. Mindfulness, grounding, and energy-informed awareness to support balance and self-regulation are foundational to Kathleen’s work at Rising Up.
